Last week my digital piano broke. The built-in speakers and headphone jack were producing hardly any sound.
I got on Reddit and asked if anyone knew how to fix it. No one knew, but a user suggested MIDI as a workaround. Great idea!
Initially I downloaded a Windows app but then I remembered I had a Linux laptop. I ended up finding this great Linux MIDI tutorial. He has some GUI tools in there but I used 100% CLI. I used fluidsynth, JACK and a Bash script.
